Debasha Cox is an associate in the firm’s Private Equity group and a member of its Private Investment Funds practice. She is also active in the firm’s Venture Capital and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Impact initiatives.
Ms. Cox focuses her practice on the structure, formation and ongoing management of a variety of private investment vehicles, including private equity funds and venture capital funds.
Ms. Cox’s experience in the private investment funds space includes establishing private funds through domestic and international securities offerings, representing fund managers and sponsor entities in the preparation and negotiation of fund formation and investment documents, and counseling fund sponsors and managers with respect to a variety of ongoing matters.
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2018, Ms. Cox was a corporate associate in the New York office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.
While attending law school, Ms. Cox was a Staff Editor of the Human Rights and Globalization Law Review and a student-attorney for the Intellectual Property and Trademark Clinic. Ms. Cox was also a participant in the 1L LCLD Scholars program.
