Samara Cramer is counsel in the firm's Private Equity group and a member of its Private Investment Funds practice.
Samara focuses her practice on the structuring, formation and ongoing management of a variety of private investment vehicles, including private equity funds and venture capital funds. She represents private investment funds and fund sponsors in all stages of fund formation and in connection with their ongoing regulatory compliance.
Samara’s experience in the private investment funds area includes establishing private funds through domestic and international securities offerings, representing fund managers and sponsor entities in the preparation and negotiation of fund formation and investment documents, and counseling fund sponsors and managers with respect to a variety of ongoing matters. She joined Goodwin in 2018.
While attending law school, Samara was a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient and earned a Scholastic Excellence Award in International Business Transactions. She served as articles editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law.
Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Samara was a senior associate at the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird LLP, where she advised private and public REITs and real estate funds, sponsors and broker-dealers in all stages of fund formation, securities matters and ongoing regulatory compliance.
