Frank DelPesce is an associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and is a member of the firm’s Private Investment Litigation group, as well as the Digital Currency & Blockchain Technology group. His practice involves representing clients in a wide range of complex business disputes and litigation, including post-closing disputes, breaches of contract, corporate governance violations, and other business torts. Frank’s clients include venture capital firms and their portfolio companies, technology companies, and digital asset companies.
Frank also counsels companies in connection with internal or government investigations, including investigations brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice.
Experience
Frank’s experience includes representing and/or counseling:
- Great Hill Partners in its acquisition of a controlling equity stake in Clearwave Parent, Inc. at an enterprise value of $300 million.
- A crypto intelligence company in defending claims of defamation in the Southern District of New York.
- An online retailer of pet supplies in litigation against third parties involving claims of deceptive trade practices and tortious interference with contract/prospective economic advantage.
- An online retailer of pet supplies in litigation involving claims of defamation and violations of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.
Areas of Practice
Professional Experience
Prior to attending law school, Frank worked in anti-money laundering compliance and risk management for various institutions, including J.P. Morgan Chase and Commerzbank AG where he conducted KYC due diligence on new clients, routinely monitored existing clients, and conducted global sanctions screening in accordance with applicable regulations.
Frank also worked at SS&C Technologies where he conducted quality assurance compliance reviews for over 30 private equity funds.
While in law school, Frank interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission and was a summer associate at Goodwin.
