Thomas Dwyer is an associate in Goodwin’s Technology and Life Sciences group based in London. Tom regularly advises pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies on a wide range of commercial matters for drug development and commercialization.
Among other matters, Tom regularly advises on research and collaboration agreements between large pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, and research institutions. He also advises on both in-licensing and out-licensing agreements for research or drug commercialization; and various types of services, supply and manufacturing arrangements.
Tom is also active on various pro bono projects, and has a particular interest in public international law pro bono matters.

- advising a biotechnology company on its various agreements with a US university in order to allow the transfer of certain material for further research by the university
- advising various biotechnology companies on the transfer of their rights from a head licensor to a sublicensee for further research and development of drugs
- advising a biotechnology company on its research collaboration with a large pharmaceutical company in order to further develop certain therapeutics
- advising various biotechnology companies on their services arrangements with clinical research organisations and contract manufacturing organisations, both for early and late stage research and manufacture of drug substance and drug product
- advising a large pharmaceutical company on its licence and option agreement with a biotechnology company in order to grant certain rights to cell therapies
