Sophie Entwisle is an associate in Goodwin’s Antitrust and Competition practice. Sophie has a broad range of experience advising on UK, EU, and international competition laws, including complex multijurisdictional merger control, anticompetitive conduct, competition compliance and dominance matters. Sophie also regularly advises clients on foreign direct investment filings and the UK’s national security and investment regime. Sophie has advised clients across a variety of sectors, including defence, financial services, life sciences, energy, industrials, consumer goods, digital gaming and real estate.

  • TowerBrook Capital Partners on its acquisition of Team Eiffel, a leading provider of integrated consulting and project delivery, outsourcing and interim professional services, from Gilde
  • Accel-KKR on its acquisition of Symfonia, a provider of ERP and payroll software solutions for SMEs in Poland
  • Energy Impact Partners on its investment in myenergi, a British designer and manufacturer of renewable energy products
  • iRobot Corporation in its proposed acquisition by Amazon.com, Inc. for approximately $1.7 billion
  • Globus Medical in its definitive agreement with NUVASIVE to combine in an all-stock transaction
  • Qualtrics International in its $12.5 billion sale to Silver Lake and CCP Investments
  • SunMed Group on its definitive agreement to acquire the respiratory health business of Avanos Medical, Inc.
  • Advising various clients on potential applicability of the UK National Security and Investment Act to Series A and Seed Funding processes
  • Summit Partners on the sale of its equity stake in German-based Elatec group, a leading international developer and supplier of secure access solutions, to SGT German Private Equity
  • TowerBrook Capital Partners on its impact investment in TXO, a provider of telecom network hardware and asset management services
  • Ritchie Bros. Incorporated on its definitive agreement to acquire IAA, Inc. for $7.3 billion
  • A consortium of investors comprised of IK Partners, Keensight Capital, Parquest Capital and GIC in the signing of an exclusivity agreement regarding the acquisition of the Unither group, a European pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization.
  • Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC on its acquisition of Student Roost, the UK’s third largest purpose-built student accommodation provider*
  • Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC in the £388 million acquisition of four purpose built student accommodation ("PBSA") assets and one build-to-rent ("BTR") asset from Downing.*
  • SHV Energy N.V. in its joint venture with UGI Corporation to advance production and use of Renewable Dimethyl Ether ("rDME "), a low-carbon sustainable liquid gas, to accelerate renewable solutions for the LPG industry.*
  • Bally's Corporation in connection with the $2.7 billion acquisition and financing of Gamesys Ltd., an LSE-listed online gaming company*
