Lauren Fernandez is an associate in the firm’s Business Law department. She joined Goodwin in 2023.
Lauren was a summer associate at Goodwin in 2022. Prior to joining Goodwin, Lauren was a senior paralegal in the U.S. Department of Justice. Lauren also served as an intern to the Honorable David J. Novak of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
While attending law school, Lauren was the Managing Editor of the William & Mary Journal of Race, Gender and Social Justice. She also authored Defending the Less Dead: Using the Decriminalization of Sex Work to Combat the High Incidence of Serial Homicide of Street-Based Sex Workers, 29 Wm. & Mary J. Race, Gender, & Soc. Just. 205 (2022). Lauren is a recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers 2023 Outstanding Law Student Award.
Lauren is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
