Matthew Fitzgerald

Matt Fitzgerald is an associate in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group. Matt’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions. He has also advised senior executives at some of the world’s largest technology platforms on ethics, governance, and regulatory issues arising from emerging technologies.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Matt served as an infantry officer and judge advocate in the United States Army.

Matt is a member of the working group of the American Bar Association Committee on M&A Market Trends, which produces the Private Target Mergers & Acquisitions Deal Points Study, a widely cited resource on current M&A deal terms.
