Lianne is an associate in the firm's Litigation department. Lianne concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, with a focus in the tech, private investment, and healthcare practices. She joined Goodwin in 2024.

Lianne’s representative experience includes: 

  • Represented incarcerated individual in 42 U.S.C. § 1983 litigation, resulting in a favorable settlement
  • Defended former Google engineer against federal criminal indictment alleging theft of AI trade secrets
  • Defended influencer marketing technology company in copyright litigation
  • Defending private equity firm in healthcare litigation 
  • Defending cryptocurrency mining company in trade secrets litigation
  • Representing secured lender in a property ownership litigation at federal trial and appellate courts
  • Representing wellness CBD company in subscriptions dispute class action litigation

Lianne is a member of the American Bar Association. 

Previous Professional Experience

During law school, Lianne worked as a legal extern at Kaiser Permanente, where she worked on many diverse legal corporate projects, including drafting policy recommendations and client presentations on key issues like mifepristone administration and gender-affirming care legislation. Lianne also worked as a legal intern with the California Department of Justice, Office of Attorney General, where she worked on several litigation matters as well as successfully appeared and argued a motion to dismiss in California Superior Court. In addition, Lianne participated in various pro bono clinics hosted by UC Law SF to assist walk-in clients. 

Before going to law school in August 2021, Lianne was a litigation paralegal at Latham & Watkins LLP, especially helping to represent corporations, officers and directors, financial services, professional services, and accounting firms in financial fraud cases. In addition to her billable work, Lianne was awarded the Guardian of Justice Award (for which she completed 60+ pro bono hours annually) for all five years. 

Prior to entering big law in 2017, Lianne worked as a tax paralegal, helping to represent individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and California Franchise Tax Board. 

Before joining the legal profession, Lianne worked at Children International for their Bay Area Chapter, where she helped with policies and procedures for local chapters nationwide, sponsor engagement, and marketing strategies and campaigns.
