Madeline Fuller is an associate in the Private Investment Funds practice in Washington, DC. Maddie’s practice focuses on the formation, structuring and ongoing management of private investment funds, with an emphasis on the representation of managers and their venture capital funds and private equity funds. Maddie’s work ranges from advising established sponsors in connection with multi-billion-dollar global fundraises to guiding emerging managers through all aspects of raising capital. Maddie also has focused on providing employment counseling in connection with corporation transactions. Maddie joined Goodwin in 2022.
Maddie maintains a diverse and active pro bono practice. Working with Kids In Need of Defense (KIND), Maddie has represented individuals in state and federal proceedings as part of their efforts to secure Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). Her other recent pro bono representations include:
- Representing the Fund for Empowerment in a challenge to the constitutionality of the City of Phoenix’s enforcement of camping and sleeping bans against the unhoused
- Advising Lawyers for Good Government on the current status of abortion laws across the country
- Serving as the Secretary of the Board of KickStart International, a non-profit corporation that provides irrigation tools to enable millions of smallholder farmers across Sub-Saharan Africa to tackle poverty
- Advising The Innocence Center and the New England Innocence Project regarding the viability of cases upon intake

Prior to attending law school, she was a technology consultant with Accenture, where she implemented a new child support software system for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. While attending law school, Madeline was the Senior Forum Editor of the American University Law Review.
