Carrie Gilman is the Director of Inclusive Talent Development, where she leads the firm’s strategic initiative to embed inclusive, equitable, and high-performance talent practices across Business Units and Legal Practice Areas. In this role, Carrie serves as a key liaison between the Talent Department and BU leadership teams, driving the operationalization of inclusive strategies that support diverse career paths.

With a focus on data-informed decision-making and stakeholder engagement, Carrie designs and implements multi-phase talent programs including leadership development, succession planning, and high-potential growth initiatives. She champions inclusive culture building by ensuring all lawyers receive meaningful support and development opportunities.

Carrie’s work is grounded in collaboration, governance, and continuous improvement, aligning firmwide goals with innovative talent solutions that center belonging and opportunity while maintaining an elite performance culture.

Carrie is an active member of ALFDP, NALP, and PDC.

Carrie joined Goodwin in 2014 and has nearly 20 years of legal industry expertise, with more than a decade as a professional focused on creating inclusive workplaces where everyone has access to the career opportunities they are seeking. Carrie is a results-driven leader, skilled in cultural change management, championing people, cultivating inclusive leadership, and enhancing engagement.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Carrie worked in various marketing and business development roles, both within and outside of the legal industry, and in the public service sector of the legal profession.
