Belen is an associate at Goodwin and advises corporate clients in complex antitrust, merger control and litigation issues including all stages of EU Commission’s behavioural investigations to litigation before the EU Courts. Belen’s experience also includes compliance advisory to corporations in a variety of industry sectors including online platforms, technology, and pharmaceuticals. Belen is actively involved in educational and mentoring programs for university students and between 2023-2025 Belen was also a lecturer in the course of EU Law at Universidad de Nebrija, Madrid.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Belen practiced at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP and Shearman & Sterling in Brussels and at Marval O’Farrel & Mairal in Buenos Aires.

  • WEBGROUP CZECH REPUBLIC: Advised the owner of a Very Large Online Platform in appealing the applicability of certain obligations imposed upon it by the Digital Services Acts before the EU Courts (Cases T-139/24 and C-620/24 P(R))*
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in its proposed acquisition of Autotalks (Case M.11212).
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in UK collective proceedings (Case No: 1382/7/7/21 Consumer’s Association v Qualcomm Incorporated)*
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in Qualcomm/Veoneer deal notified to the German Competition Authority*
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in its appeal of the decision adopted in Case AT.39711 Qualcomm – predation before the EU Courts (Cases T-671/19 and C-819/24 P)*
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in its appeal of the decision adopted by the European Commission in Case AT.40220 (Qualcomm – exclusivity payments) before the General Court, which led to the unprecedented and final annulment of the entire decision imposing an 997 million fine upon Qualcomm (Case T-235/18)*
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in respect of the European Commission’s investigation into Qualcomm’s alleged predatory pricing practices (Case AT.39711 Qualcomm – predation)*
  • QUALCOMM: Advised Qualcomm in its appeal of the legality of a Request for Information adopted by the European Commission in the context of case AT.39711 before the General Court (Case T-371/17) and the Court of Justice (Case C-466/19)*
  • QUALCOMM/NXP: Advised Qualcomm in respect of its Phase II Commission review of Qualcomm’s acquisition of NXP (Case COMP/M.8306). This matter garnered the award of the merger control matter of the year (2018) by Global Competition Review (GCR)*
