TJ Herron
TJ Herron is a seasoned litigator who has managed complex lawsuits and arbitrations across the country. His tenacity and strategic thinking helps clients navigate their most significant legal challenges with efficiency and effectiveness.
TJ is a counsel in Goodwin’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group, concentrating on commercial and consumer lawsuits, class actions, cybersecurity and data privacy issues, and government enforcement actions. With nearly a decade of experience, TJ has overseen virtually every stage of the litigation process, including drafting and arguing dispositive pre-trial motions, conducting fact and expert discovery, leading depositions, handling summary judgment proceedings, and preparing cases for trial. He has represented a wide variety of companies from start-ups to Fortune 500 firms in industries such as financial services, investment management, cybersecurity software, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, consumer data, medical devices, manufacturing, and banking. TJ has defended individual lawsuits, class actions, and arbitrations involving alleged violations of state and federal statutes — including, among others, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and California Invasion of Privacy Act — as well as common law claims of breach of contract, fraud, invasion of privacy, and tortious interference.
Beyond litigation, TJ has experience representing regulated individuals and organizations in government investigations. His work includes matters involving the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, U.S. Department of the Treasury/Office of Foreign Assets Control, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and various state regulators and prosecutors.
