Laura Hodges Taylor, a partner in the firm's Financial Industry and Fintech practices, has a broad range of expertise, focusing on transactions involving investments, mergers and acquisitions and capital raising. Ms. Hodges Taylor represents a range of investment management firms, including private equity firms, hedge fund managers and investment advisors, often as outside general counsel, and advises on their investments as well as on formation of their funds and establishment of their management companies. She also works with businesses in a variety of industries, including life sciences, technology, traditional industry, real estate and business and professional services, representing them on acquisitions and divestitures as well as financing transactions. Ms. Hodges Taylor served as co-chair of Goodwin's Corporate Department, she founded and led the firm’s women’s initiative (Women@Goodwin), and is a former member of the firm's Executive Committee, Partnership Committee and Allocations Committee. She spent three years in the firm’s Paris office, and has been involved in numerous cross-border and multi-jurisdiction transactions.
F1 Holdings Corp. and an investor group led by Gallatin Point Capital LLC on a definitive agreement to sell F1 Holdings Corp. to Stellantis N.V. in an all cash transaction for approximately $285 million.
Ms. Hodges Taylor’s work with investment firms includes structuring and forming funds and other pooled investment vehicles; effecting investment transactions including buyouts and minority investments as well as debt financings; advising on compliance and regulatory matters; and arrangements among firm principals and partners. Her company practice focuses on transactions such as public and private offerings of equity and debt and acquisitions, as well as general business and securities advice.
