John Joy is a partner in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group.
John focuses his practice on advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, early and late-stage private equity investments, leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations, co-investments, and secondary transactions. John regularly represents searchers, search fund investors and search fund companies at all stages, advising on fund formation, fundraising, acquisitions, company operations and exit strategies. John also provides outside general counsel to early-stage and mature private companies, assisting with debt and equity financings, general corporate governance, commercial agreements, and employment matters.
