Lora Krsulich is a trial lawyer in Goodwin's Intellectual Property Litigation practice. She has litigated cases across a broad spectrum of industries and technologies, including wireless communications, semiconductors, AI data centers, consumer electronics, and medical devices. She believes the best outcomes come from one thing: actually understanding what you are fighting about.

In a recent patent infringement matter in the Eastern District of Texas, Lora led defense strategy for a major consumer electronics company facing a multi-product challenge involving natural language processing and voice recognition technology. The case required her to get fluent in how devices understand human speech, coordinate across parallel proceedings, and build a defense that held together across an entire product portfolio. It reflects how she works: understand the facts as thoroughly as the law, and build everything else around that foundation.

That same preparation shows up in the courtroom. Lora believes judges and juries decide cases based on whether they understand, not whether they are impressed. She takes complicated science and engineering and turns it into a clear, honest story. Her trial work includes opening statements, expert direct examination, and contested motion practice in cases involving AI-driven trade secrets and intellectual property rights. Clients and colleagues say she has "incredible judgment" under pressure, and that she marshals facts with precision whether she is examining a witness or arguing in court.

Lora earned her law degree from UC Berkeley School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the California Law Review, and clerked for two federal judges. Those experiences gave her something she draws on every day: a clear sense of how courts think, and what it takes to be genuinely persuasive rather than just technically correct.

Outside the courtroom, Lora writes and speaks about trial advocacy and what it looks like to practice law as a full human being. She has written about going to trial as a new mom and using empathy to drive effective direct examination, and has been featured on The Legal 500 Podcast, Khurram’s Quorum, and The Woman 2 Woman Podcast, where she talks openly about her path as a first-generation lawyer and female litigator.
