Lora Krsulich is an experienced associate who focuses on high-stakes intellectual property litigation. She is a member of the IP Litigation practice at Goodwin and has handled both patent infringement and tech-related antitrust disputes. Lora prides herself on her ability to translate technical terms to common-sense concepts. Her clients praise her “incredible judgment” in the courtroom and “tactical savvy and command of the facts” in depositions and cross-examinations.
Lora joined Goodwin in 2024. She has tried several cases, including most recently at the International Trade Commission, where Lora directed a technical expert on issues related to the validity of an asserted software patent.
Lora also has extensive experience in cost and resource management. Before law school, Lora was a senior policy advisor for the City of Newark, New Jersey’s award-winning Office of Prisoner Reentry, where she managed federal grants and ensured that all deliverables were on time and on budget. Lora was also a policy analyst in the Cost-Benefit Analysis Unit of the Vera Institute of Justice, where Lora evaluated the total costs and expected benefits of particular criminal justice interventions.
In law school, Lora served as editor-in-chief of the California Law Review. She was a finalist in Berkeley Law’s McBaine Moot Court Competition and participated in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition, where she was named one of three top oralists in regional rounds.
After law school, Lora clerked for Judge Kim McLane Wardlaw of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Chief Judge Philip S. Gutierrez of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Lora is actively involved in efforts to meet legal service gaps through mentorship and pro bono work. Lora enjoys supporting other first-generation professionals and is a mentor with Legal Education Access Pipeline, Inc. (LEAP).
Lora is also membership chair of the Judge Paul R. Michel Intellectual Property American Inn of Court.
Lora was featured on The Legal 500 Podcast and The Woman 2 Woman Podcast discussing her experiences as a first-generation lawyer and female litigator. She has also published reflections on going to trial as a new mom in PLI Plus.
When not working, Lora enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and her sons, William and Bennett.

- Representing a software company at the ITC.
- With the ACLU and ACLU Ohio, represented Ohio families challenging a ban on gender-affirming healthcare for transgender youth
- Defended Globus Medical, Inc. in an $86 million patent infringement dispute brought by Moskowitz Family LLC in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. A jury found that not a single one of ten accused Globus products infringed a single one of plaintiff’s three asserted patents*
- Secured a $25 million all-cash, non-reversionary settlement with Genworth Financial Life Insurance Company for a class of insurance policy owners. The class alleged that Genworth breached the life insurance contracts by raising the rates in violation of their contracts. Lora was the sole associate and helped her clients obtain more monetary relief in the settlement deal than they could have achieved through a victory at trial*
- Served as counsel to an antenna technology company, Fractus S.A., in a patent infringement dispute against ZTE. Lora handled key depositions, both in the United States and abroad, and then briefed and won a motion to compel ZTE’s sales data and an opposition to a motion to strike. Fractus later agreed to settle its claims for a multi-million-dollar settlement*
