Lora Krsulich is an experienced associate who focuses on high-stakes intellectual property litigation. She is a member of the IP Litigation practice at Goodwin and has handled both patent infringement and tech-related antitrust disputes. Lora prides herself on her ability to translate technical terms to common-sense concepts. Her clients praise her “incredible judgment” in the courtroom and “tactical savvy and command of the facts” in depositions and cross-examinations.

Lora was featured on The Legal 500 Podcast, Khurram’s Quorum, and The Woman 2 Woman Podcast discussing her experiences as a first-generation lawyer and female litigator. She has also published reflections on going to trial as a new mom and strategies for using empathy to drive effective direct examination in PLI Plus.

When not working, Lora enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick, and her sons, William and Bennett.

Experience

  • Defending a software company in a patent infringement dispute in the Eastern District of Texas.
  • Representing a former Google engineer in the defense of federal criminal indictment alleging the theft of AI trade secrets.
  • With the ACLU and ACLU Ohio, represented Ohio families challenging a ban on gender-affirming healthcare for transgender youth.
  • Defended Globus Medical, Inc. in an $86 million patent infringement dispute brought by Moskowitz Family LLC in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. A jury found that not a single one of ten accused Globus products infringed a single one of plaintiff’s three asserted patents.*
  • Secured a $25 million all-cash, non-reversionary settlement with Genworth Financial Life Insurance Company for a class of insurance policy owners. The class alleged that Genworth breached the life insurance contracts by raising the rates in violation of their contracts. Lora was the sole associate and helped her clients obtain more monetary relief in the settlement deal than they could have achieved through a victory at trial.*
  • Served as counsel to an antenna technology company, Fractus S.A., in a patent infringement dispute against ZTE. Lora handled key depositions, both in the United States and abroad, and then briefed and won a motion to compel ZTE’s sales data and an opposition to a motion to strike. Fractus later agreed to settle its claims for a multi-million-dollar settlement.*
