Samuel A. Kunzman

Samuel is an associate in Goodwin’s Litigation department. He represents a wide range of clients in complex commercial, intellectual property, and false advertising disputes. His practice also includes counseling on advertising compliance, IP risk assessment, and infringement and enforcement. Samuel joined the firm in 2024.

• Representing a renewable energy OEM in multi-forum litigation involving claims of trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition
• Representing a tech-enabled LLC formation platform in offensive and defensive National Advertising Division disputes regarding advertising practices of the company and its competitors
• Representing a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration relating to alleged breaches of a licensing agreement for the development and commercialization of novel therapeutics
• Representing Two Harbors Investment Corporation in a complex, multi-faceted dispute involving breach of contract and trade secret misappropriation claims (PRCM Advisers LLC et al. v. Two Harbors Investment Corp., S.D.N.Y.).
• Representing Brave Software in filing landmark copyright infringement declaratory judgment complaint concerning its search engine and AI chatbot use of the search engine (Brave Software v. News Corp., N.D. Cal.)
• Representing an AI-powered video commerce platform in advising on copyright, trademark, and right of publicity risks related to its overlay of editorial and advertising content onto television programming.

Samuel was an Executive Notes & Comments Editor for Brooklyn Law School’s Journal of Law & Policy and served as an intern for the Hon. Gerald Lebovits at the New York Supreme Court.

Prior to law school, Samuel was a professional dancer and choreographer. He danced at the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, with the Mark Morris Dance Group, Saint Louis Dance Theatre, and Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. Samuel presented his own choreography nationwide.
