A partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group, Cory Lewis counsels private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies throughout the investment life cycle.

Cory draws on a commercial, business-focused approach to help clients quickly and efficiently execute transactions and achieve their investment goals. He advises clients on structuring, negotiating, and executing complex US and cross-border transactions, including:

  • Leveraged buyouts, carve-outs, spinoffs, and other M&A transactions
  • Joint ventures, alliances, and other commercial partnerships
  • Recapitalizations and restructurings
  • Platform company management employment and equity matters
  • Platform divestiture
  • Ongoing general corporate and strategic matters

In addition to his commercial work, Cory maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing families of children with special education needs on matters related to individualized education plans (IEPs) and related special education services.
