John Loscheider is an associate in Goodwin’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group. John focuses his practice on consumer financial litigation, complex disputes and enforcement-related matters. He brings extensive first-chair trial and advocacy experience to high-stakes matters, combining strategic judgment with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
John’s previous work includes consumer financial litigation, commercial disputes, arbitrations, and regulatory matters. He has served as lead counsel in dozens of consumer financial cases in federal courts nationwide and as lead counsel in numerous consumer arbitrations resulting in complete defense verdicts.
Prior to joining Goodwin, John served as a infantry officer and judge advocate in the United States Army, where he first-chaired numerous jury and judge-alone trials and handled all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions practice, expert witnesses, and oral advocacy. For his military service — including deployments to Afghanistan and Kuwait — he received the Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, and earned the Ranger Tab, Airborne Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
John is admitted to practice in Minnesota only. His work is supervised by DC-admitted attorneys in the firm.
