Ana Maganto Ramirez

Ana Maganto Ramirez is an associate in Goodwin’s Tax-Exempt Organizations practice. She supports clients across the full life cycle of a tax-exempt organization from an entity’s formation and tax-exemption application, to grant-making and corporate governance all the way through dissolution. Ana works closely with a variety of tax-exempt organizations including public charities, private foundations, social welfare organizations, and foreign charities and their US affiliates to improve their governance and enhance their tax compliance. This includes advising organizations on unrelated business income tax questions, working with nonprofit boards on best practices and fiduciary obligations, and assisting in the navigation of the Chapter 42 excise tax regime, including rules on self-dealing tax and excess business holdings. In addition, Ana works with high-net-worth individuals and families to establish family foundations and donor-advised funds. Ana joined Goodwin in 2026.
