Tom Maher

Tom Maher is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of the firm’s Technology group. He started at the firm in 2021.

Tom represents myriad technology companies through the entire corporate lifecycle, including pre-incorporation planning, general corporate representation and counseling, venture capital financings, private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Tom maintains an active venture capital practice, regularly representing some of the industry’s leading venture capital firms, including Lowercarbon Capital, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Craft Ventures, Nava Ventures and others.

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2021, Tom was an associate in the Silicon Valley office of Cooley LLP and founded and served as the CEO, Creative Director and legal counsel for a video game development studio.
