Brennan Meier

Brennan Meier is an associate in the firm’s Business Law Department, and practices in Goodwin’s Private Investment Funds and Financial Industry practices. In his Funds practice, Mr. Meier focuses on advising clients on forming and investing in a variety of private investment vehicles. In his Financial Industry practice, Mr. Meier advises banks, non-depository financial institutions, and financial technology companies (Fintechs) on regulatory and transactional matters.

While in law school, Mr. Meier served as a judicial intern for the Honorable John R. Tunheim, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, and as a senior submissions editor for the Southern California Law Review. As president of his law school’s Outlaw association, he also worked to improve LGBT representation in the legal industry and provide mentorship and act as a voice for LGBT law students with the administration.

Prior to law school, Mr. Meier worked as a legislative assistant for a Minnesota Senate caucus research department. In that role, he researched policy memos on a variety of topics, including agriculture and judiciary issues, and monitored floor sessions of the Minnesota House of Representatives and Senate committee meetings. He has also worked as a political organizer, managing volunteer recruitment and voter registration campaigns in multiple legislative districts.
