Farnell Morisset is an associate in the firm’s Business Law department. He joined Goodwin in 2018.
While attending the McGill Faculty of Law, Mr. Morisset won 1st Place Oralist and was a member of both 1st Place Pair and 1st Place School at the Laskin Moot, a Canadian constitutional and administrative law mooting competition.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Morisset worked with the Department of Justice Canada advising on developments in emerging technologies, including AI and blockchain, and private sector legal risk management. He has also worked with Digital Opportunity Trust, a NGO which pairs leading technology companies with non-profits and community groups to develop community technology leadership opportunities. While in law school, Mr. Morisset was campaign manager for a candidate elected to the Parliament of Canada in 2015.
Prior to a career in law, Mr. Morisset was a professional engineer (licensed by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Quebec’s professional engineering order) and has experience in international business development for a technology firm working in advanced materials modeling.

As a summer associate with Goodwin in 2017, Mr. Morisset was awarded Best Overall Memo (with fellow summer associate Adanna Uwazurike) by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New York region’s Summer Associate Research Program memo competition.
