Stephen Pedersen

Stephen Pedersen is an associate in the Debt Finance practice and Private Equity group at Goodwin. He started at the firm in 2022. Mr. Pedersen concentrates his legal practice in representing private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and other public and private companies in connection with acquisition and other debt financings. 

Mr. Pedersen has extensive experience in acquisition and other leveraged financing transactions including the structuring, negotiating, and drafting for a wide range of complex and routine domestic and international debt financing matters such as leveraged buyouts, debt commitments, first-lien, second-lien, bridge, mezzanine and high-yield financing transactions, both secured and unsecured, fund-level financings, asset-backed loans, recapitalizations, and related intercreditor matters. 

Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Pedersen was an associate of the Corporate Finance and Lending Practice at Akerman LLP in Miami. Prior to his tenure at Akerman, he was an associate at Clifford Chance US LLP.
