Allison Pritchard is an associate in the firm's Business Law department. Her practice focuses on representing emerging growth companies, venture capital investors, and other participants in the innovation economy. She joined Goodwin in 2024.

Allison spent her first year at the firm on secondment with Emerson Collective, a company founded by Laurene Powell Jobs that invests in entrepreneurs and innovators driven by purpose and a sense of possibility. While at Emerson, she advised on venture capital and fund investments, commercial transactions, and corporate governance matters, and collaborated closely with investment, legal, and operating teams on strategic initiatives across the organization. She also supported efforts to evaluate the integration of emerging artificial intelligence technologies into legal workflows and operations.

Previous Professional Experience

Prior to attending law school, Allison worked in environmental consulting, where she played a key role in the environmental permitting and compliance efforts associated with the construction of one of North America’s largest carbon capture projects. In this capacity, Allison applied her background in wildlife biology and environmental science to ensure compliance with complex environmental laws, regulations, and policies.

While at Berkeley Law, Allison earned both a Business Law Certificate and an Energy and Clean Technology Law Certificate. She received two Jurisprudence Awards and a Prosser Award for outstanding performance in Negotiations, Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance, and Legal Ethics. Beyond the classroom, she demonstrated leadership and a commitment to public service as the Leader of ECO, a student-run pro bono group focused on environmental initiatives, and as Senior Currents Editor for Ecology Law Quarterly.
