Arsh Raince is an associate in Goodwin’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice. Arsh’s areas of focus include patent and trade secret litigation. He also has experience in a range of other intellectual property and commercial litigation matters, including trademark, false advertising, unfair competition, and breach of contract disputes. He has represented clients (both as plaintiffs and defendants) in numerous intellectual property and commercial disputes in federal courts nationwide and has helped secure significant victories. Arsh works with a diverse group of clients spread across industries such as software (including AI), hardware, dredging, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
Experience
Arsh has experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, pretrial proceedings, and trial. He has helped secure favorable outcomes for clients, including through motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and at bench and jury trials. Arsh also has experience advocated in court and has traveled abroad to secure client interests. His notable cases are below.
- Insulet v. EOFlow. Secured a landmark jury verdict for plaintiff Insulet Corporation in a trade secret case after a five-week jury trial featured 27 live witnesses and over 330 exhibits and several experts on key disputed issues. The jury awarded Insulet $452 million in compensatory and punitive damages—one of the top trade secret verdicts in the last five years—and the Court entered a permanent injunction
- Groq Inc. v. Groq Health. Representing Groq Health and its CEO Dr. Florence Comite in trademark infringement litigation
- Represented software companies in multiple districts against patent infringement cases brought by a non-practicing entity resulting in favorable settlements
- Represented a dredging company in trade secret litigation resulting in a favorable summary judgment decision
- Represented generic pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman litigation
- Represented a data security and cybersecurity firm in patent litigation concerning multi-factor authentication
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Arsh interned with the honorable Magistrate Judge Robin M. Meriweather at the District Court for the District of Columbia and with the honorable Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell at the District Court for the District of Columbia.
