Ruoyu "Rainy" Ren

Ruoyu “Rainy” Ren is an International Legal Consultant in the Private Investment Funds team at Goodwin. She regularly advises on the formation and management of private equity and venture capital funds, as well as on primary and secondary fund investments across Greater China and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Rainy has acted on behalf of leading institutional investors, including Alibaba, Ant Group, and BOCGI, on their investments in private equity funds. Her practice spans a range of sectors and asset classes.

She has experience across the end-to-end fund lifecycle, covering fund formation, investor negotiations, closing coordination, post-closing operations, LP interest transfers, and fund liquidation. Her practice spans a range of sectors and asset classes, with strong technical expertise in fund structuring and sponsor-side advisory.
