Donia Royster

Donia serves as the Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and is based in the Santa Monica office. In this role, Donia collaborates with select business units and department leaders, practice managers and attorney development managers to design and execute business unit / department strategies that are aligned with firmwide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies. Donia further collaborates with select affinity groups and leaders from CRED@Goodwin and Pride@Goodwin to develop and implement annual strategic plans, draft management updates, perform data analysis, run programming, and manage annual budgets.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Donia was a partner and director of DEI at Resnick & Louis. Donia represented corporate clients in a variety of litigated matters including, products liability, premises liability, construction defect and complex insurance bad faith cases. Earlier in her career, Donia worked as an in-house counsel for several insurance companies, including staff counsel for Chubb Insurance.

Donia received her BS from California State University, Long Beach and a JD from Whittier Law School. She also earned a certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.

Donia is a member of the National Bar Association, California Minority Counsel Program (CMCP), John M. Langston Bar Association and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She also holds a membership with the Association for Law Firm Diversity (ALFD).
