Grant Schnell is counsel in Goodwin’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution group.

Grant represents clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters across a wide range of industries and dispute types, including business torts, disputes between competitors, cybersecurity and data privacy, class and collective actions, multidistrict litigation, and contract claims. He has served as first-chair trial counsel in dozens of cases tried to a final verdict and has argued motions and appeals at nearly every level in the state and federal trial and appellate courts in Georgia and Florida. His clients have spanned the financial services, e-commerce, telecommunications, hospitality, construction, and health care industries.

Within the financial services sector, Grant has developed particular depth defending consumer reporting agencies in individual and class action litigation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and parallel state consumer protection statutes, advising on compliance, dispute investigation, and litigation strategy across federal and state courts nationwide.

Grant dedicates a meaningful portion of his practice to pro bono work. He has handled multiple cases with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), the leading organization for the protection of children who enter the US immigration system as unaccompanied minors. He has also served with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (AVLF), helping connect attorneys to low-income families to assist with basic civil legal needs.

Grant is admitted to practice in Florida and Georgia only; his practice is supervised by DC-admitted lawyers at Goodwin.
