David P. Simonetti

David P. Simonetti is a Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer. In this role, he will support Goodwin’s ERISA & Executive Compensation department with regulatory intelligence, training and support, innovation and efficiency, and client value.

Prior to joining Goodwin, David practiced for Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation’s Legislative Policy Division in the Office of General Counsel. In that capacity, he tracked federal legislation, analyzed and provided technical assistance on proposed legislation and regulations, and worked extensively with single and multiemployer pension plans and the rules impacting them under Title IV of ERISA. He also worked in legal publishing for Thomson Reuters on their employee benefits products. David also practiced with large law and consulting firms where he developed extensive expertise in tax, employment, executive compensation and employee benefits law.
