Cusaj Thomas is an associate in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Private Equity group. Cusaj's practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, the representation of portfolio companies, early-stage companies and search fund entrepreneurs, and other general corporate matters in a broad range of industries. He joined Goodwin in 2019.

Cusaj’s representative experience includes advising:
- Cano Health LLC on its definitive merger agreement with special purpose acquisition company Jaws Acquisition Corp.
- Gandeeva in its $40 million Series A financing
- Biocon Biologics Ltd. on its definitive agreement to acquire Viatris Inc.’s global biosimilars business
Professional Activities
Cusaj is on the Boston Board of Directors for Read to a Child, a national literacy and mentoring nonprofit that utilizes more than 1,800 volunteer mentors who read one-on-one to more than 1,400 at-risk elementary school students in Greater Boston, Detroit, Hartford, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Cusaj was a law clerk in Goodwin’s Private Equity group during the 2018-2019 school year and a summer associate in 2017.
He interned with PepsiCo in its Frito-Lay headquarters during the summer of 2018, focusing on strategic finance.
