Philip Tizzano
Philip L. Tizzano is an associate in Goodwin’s Trusts & Estates Planning practice. He advises individuals, families, and business owners on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, and trust and estate administration.
Philip works closely with clients to develop customized estate plans that accomplish their personal and financial objectives. He advises on sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, including the design of trusts to minimize estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes while facilitating the tax-efficient transfer of wealth across generations.
In addition to estate planning, Philip advises fiduciaries and families on complex trust and estate administration, including contested matters, the modification and interpretation of trusts, and the preparation of estate and gift tax returns. He has substantial experience representing clients in the Probate and Family Court, particularly in matters involving estate administration, trust interpretation and modification, and other fiduciary proceedings.
A veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), Philip is deeply committed to public service and maintains an active pro bono practice focused on supporting veterans. He assists veterans with housing matters, disability benefits, guardianships, and estate planning.
