Alexandra Vaccaro is a senior attorney in the firm’s Business Law department and a member of its Intellectual Property group. She concentrates her practice in the counseling, protection, and licensing of intellectual property rights. She joined Goodwin in 2018.
Alexandra is experienced in matters related to the selection and protection of trademarks, and regularly counsels clients across a wide spectrum of industries including but not limited to technology, finance, media, fashion and cosmetics, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. Alexandra assists clients with the worldwide protection of their trademarks, and has assisted countless clients with applying for registration of their trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is also experienced in pre-litigation trademark enforcement matters, including sending and defending against cease and desist letters, and handling matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, including bringing and defending against opposition and cancellation proceedings.

Alexandra is a member of the International Trademark Association, New York State Bar Association, and New York City Bar Association.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Alexandra was an associate at Moses & Singer LLP.
While attending law school, Alexandra was an articles editor of the Brooklyn Law Review and a member of the appellate division of the Moot Court Honor Society. She competed in the 2015 Cardozo/BMI Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition, and served as a student coach for the 2016 Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition sponsored by the International Trademark Association.
