Berriman, Turgeon Form New Litigation Technology Services Company

We are pleased to announce that James Berriman (Senior Counsel and Director of Litigation Technology) and Lynn Turgeon (Manager of Litigation Technology) are forming a new litigation technology services company named Evidox, which will commence operations on or about October 1, 2006.

Jim Berriman has developed litigation technology systems since 1982, and has been practicing law at Goodwin Procter since 1990. In 1999, he took responsibility for the firm's automated litigation support function. In addition to establishing the litigation department's scanning labs and litigation-support database systems, Mr. Berriman wrote and implemented Cases Online, the firm's electronic pleading management system. He also set up the firm's trial presentation systems and has provided electronic trial support at many of the firm's trials. He will become the Chief Executive Officer of Evidox.

Lynn Turgeon has been at Goodwin Procter since 1997. After becoming one of the firm's most proficient users of litigation technology, she was invited to join the Litigation Technology Group in 2002 as its Summation database administrator. Today she supervises and administers the firm's litigation-support database and e-discovery systems. She implemented the firm's image database capabilities and e-discovery production lines, and she manages the firm's e-discovery extranet systems. Ms. Turgeon is also a senior litigation paralegal with over 20 years of experience. She will become the Chief Operating Officer of Evidox.
