2008 Robert B. Fraser Pro Bono Award

Professionals

On Thursday, July 10th, we were honored to present David Apfel and Danielle Picozzi with the Robert B. Fraser Pro Bono Award.

Established in 2001, the firm's Robert B. Fraser Pro Bono Award is given each year to a partner and associate who have done outstanding pro bono work and who make a special contribution to the establishment or enhancement of pro bono programs at the firm. The award is named after retired Goodwin Procter managing partner Bob Fraser and honors attorneys who devote significant time and effort on behalf of those unable to afford legal representation.

Approximately 75 people were delighted to welcome Robert B. Fraser who was able to attend this year's ceremonies. Regina Pisa presented the awards and Tom Mikula officiated on behalf of the Pro Bono Committee. Upon accepting his award, David Apfel paid a heartfelt tribute to Bob Fraser.

Also honored was a multi-office, multidisplinary team which helped form CheckSpring Bank, a community-based banking institution with the goal of bringing convenient, affordable, quality banking services to the "unbanked."
