Litigation Partner Ken Parsigian will succeed partners Bill Mayer and Tom Mikula as firm-wide chair of the Pro Bono Committee, effective April 1, 2009. Tom Mikula will continue to be the office pro bono chair in our DC office, along with Jeff Simes in our New York office and Brooks Brown in our Los Angeles office.
Ken has served on the Pro Bono Committee for several years and has been one of its most active members. He has performed pro bono work at Goodwin Procter for over 20 years and is a passionate spokesman about the value such work brings to an attorney's professional life. Over the years he has developed an expertise in asylum law, and his hard work training others has allowed us to expand our now significant practice in this area. Ken's commitment to pro bono work and his broad skill-set, energetic personality, and winning attitude will serve the firm well as he assumes his new leadership role.
