Surviving Y2K: Goodwin's Response Team

It's hard to believe that 10 years have passed since the infamous Y2K dilemma. Amidst the excitement of the new millennium, companies worldwide focused on one important concern - would computer systems crash when the year changed from 1999 to 2000? Fearing the crippling loss of important information and technical support, companies checked, fixed, upgraded and closely monitored their computer systems throughout 1999. Some even assembled special Y2K teams that worked on New Year's Eve to handle any unforeseen issues. Goodwin, Procter & Hoar was no exception.

In 1999, the firm created the Year 2000 Contingency Plan "to ensure the continuity of critical business processes by identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating Year 2000 risks."
