Goodwin Procter, a leading Am Law 50 and Global 50 law firm, announced today that Jay Schifferli has joined the firm as a partner in its Private Equity Group in Washington, D.C. Schifferli comes to Goodwin from Kelley Drye & Warren, where he was chair of that firm’s private equity practice.
Schifferli focuses his practice on private equity; mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures; public and private securities offerings and compliance; and general corporate, securities and business matters.
He advises private equity funds and public and private companies across an array of areas including stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, tender offers, exchange offers, “going private” transactions and related financings. He also represents public companies and investor groups in compliance with SEC disclosure and reporting obligations and corporate governance matters.
