Gil Menna, a partner and chair of Goodwin Procter’s Real Estate Capital Markets Group, as well as co-chair of its REITs Practice, discusses the shift in the real-estate investment trust landscape and the waning influence of the once powerful core group of asset managers in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Menna observed that the REIT-focused investors could continue to lose influence after real estate becomes its own stock-market sector, a change that is expected to take place on August 31, 2016.
