The American Lawyer recently named Rick Kline a 2020 Dealmaker of the Year for his work helping Slack Technologies, Inc. go public with an innovative direct listing of stock on the New York Stock Exchange that valued the company at approximately $20 billion. The novel arrangement made Slack the first Silicon Valley technology company to ever use a direct listing.
Kline is co-chair of Goodwin’s Capital Markets and Public Company practice and a partner in its Technology practice. He specializes in all areas of corporate and securities laws with a primary focus on capital markets transactions and public company representation, and also represents corporate clients on company formations, venture financings, M&A transactions, corporate governance and advising board of directors.
