Xampla Completes £6.2 Million Funding Round

The Cambridge Technology team advised Xampla on the completion of its £6.2 million Seed 2 funding round led by Horizons Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Amadeus and the University of Cambridge.

Xampla is a deep-tech spin out from the University of Cambridge which has created the world’s first plant protein material for commercial use. Xampla’s next generation material performs like synthetic polymers, but decomposes naturally and fully, without harming the environment. Their mission is to replace single-use plastics, like sachets and flexible packaging films as well as microplastics within liquids and lotions.

The Goodwin team was led by Anna Kaye.
