Heidi Mayon Named to Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers in California

Daily Journal has named Heidi Mayon to its 2021 list of Top Women Lawyers in California. The annual series recognizes California-based women who have achieved significant victories for clients and are considered leaders in their respective fields.

Mayon is a partner in the firm's Technology and Life Sciences groups, where she focuses her practice on all areas of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on capital markets transactions. Mayon represents a full range of corporate clients on a wide variety of matters, including public company readiness, initial public offerings, complex capital markets transactions, corporate governance and advising boards of directors.

“In the practice of law, there are very few specialty areas where you really get to be part of the business team in such a fundamental way,” Mayon said in regards to her IPO work. That’s why she enjoys learning the “ins and outs of a company’s business in order to describe it to investors and regulators.”

Daily Journal
highlighted Mayon’s representation of underwriters Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan in DoorDash’s $3.4 billion IPO, which was extremely unique in that it lacked a greenshoe option and featured an innovative lockup period. It also noted her representation of Poshmark, a leading social marketplace for secondhand clothing, in its initial public offering of 6,600,000 shares of Class A common stock at a price to the public of $42 per share.

Beyond her practice, Mayon serves as the Silicon Valley office’s leader of Women@Goodwin, where she helps to recruit, retain and advance women across the firm. She was also recently named a 2021 Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer for her work in DoorDash’s IPO.
