Vault Names Goodwin a Best Law Firm for Diversity

Vault’s Best Law Firms for Diversity rankings have named Goodwin a top 10 firm in the 2022 edition of the annual guide. Vault compiled the list based on associate feedback examining the firm’s efforts at creating, maintaining and fostering a diverse workforce.

Goodwin moved up six places in this year’s rankings. In addition to being recognized as a top overall firm, Goodwin also scored highly in the following categories: Diversity for LGBTQ+ Individuals, Diversity for Women, Diversity for Individuals with Disabilities and Racial and Ethnic Diversity.

These results reflect Goodwin’s efforts in becoming the most diverse, equitable and inclusive law firm in the industry. This mission is supported by firm-wide affinity groups such as CRED@Goodwin, Pride@Goodwin and Women@Goodwin.

Goodwin has also recently taken steps to address inequities and barriers to advancement faced by professionals of color in the legal profession. This includes establishing the Black Anti-Racism Task Force, Black Organization for Leadership and Development (BOLD) and the Women of Color initiative.

Due to these accomplishments, Goodwin has been routinely recognized as a Best Law Firm for Women by Seramount and a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality by the Human Rights Campaign. The firm has also achieved Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Certification every year since its inception, as the groundbreaking program seeks to boost the representation of diverse lawyers in law firm leadership by broadening the pool of candidates considered for these opportunities.
