Dozens of law firms, including many in Big Law, have now signed onto a letter condemning the legal merits of a lawsuit filed against SPAC Pershing Square Tontine Holdings. But according to several lawyers that work in the SPAC world, all at firms that signed the letter, there isn’t much to worry about. Jocelyn Arel, a Technology and SPACs partner at Goodwin and head of the firm’s special purpose acquisition company practice, said the very fact that 55 separate law firms agreed on the merits of the suit is a message in and of itself.
