Goodwin partner Heidi Mayon has been named to Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in California for 2021. The annual award recognizes the elite California lawyers across the state who have engaged in cutting-edge legal work over the past year and throughout their career.
The publication highlighted Mayon’s work on several high profile IPOs including Poshmark, DoorDash and Doximity, as well as her experience with de-SPAC transactions, which is the process of merging and converting a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) into its merger target. Mayon recently advised Cano Health, Inc., a leading value-based primary care provider for seniors and underserved communities, on the closing of its business combination with Jaws Acquisition Corp. She also advised Better Therapeutics, Inc., a prescription digital therapeutics company, in its successful merger with publicly traded SPAC Mountain Crest Acquisition Corp II.
Mayon is a partner in the firm's Technology and Life Sciences groups, where she focuses her practice on all areas of corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on Capital Markets transactions. Mayon represents a full range of corporate clients on a wide variety of matters, including public company readiness, initial public offerings, complex capital markets matters, corporate governance and advising boards of directors.
Beyond her practice, Mayon serves as the Silicon Valley office’s leader of Women@Goodwin, where she helps to recruit, retain and advance women across the firm. In addition to this honor, over the past year she has been recognized by The American Lawyer’s Dealmakers of the Year, Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers in California and Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women of Influence.
