Goodwin Launches 2L Diversity Fellowship and Virtual Roundtable Program

Goodwin's 2L Diversity Fellowship Program for the 2023 Summer Associate class is open for applications. The Diversity Fellowships provide second-year law students from historically excluded groups with the opportunity to earn a position in Goodwin’s 2023 Summer Associate program, in addition to receiving an award of $30,000.

Finalists for the 2L Fellowship will be invited to participate in a new Virtual Roundtable Program. As part of the program, candidates will engage in interviews with Goodwin attorneys, followed by a series of thought exercises, roundtable discussions and social networking with key firm leaders, members of Goodwin’s Committee on Racial & Ethnic Diversity (CRED) and PRIDE affinity groups, as well as local office leaders.

These candidates will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of conversations that explore reshaping diversity in big law. They will also be considered for 2023 2L Summer Associate positions in their preferred Goodwin office, and be eligible for selection as a 2L Diversity Fellowship recipient.

To become a Goodwin 2L Diversity Fellow, a candidate must be a law student currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school, with an expected graduation date of December 2023 or spring 2024.

Application guidelines and forms are available online; the application deadline is April 29, 2022. Fellowship finalists will be notified by May 6, 2022.
