M+A May Be Slower but Big Law Dealmakers aren't Ready to Panic (Law.com)

Mergers and acquisitions are slowing this year. Aly Simons, co-chair of Goodwin’s Technology M&A practice, said that she noticed that the larger tech acquirers sat out a good portion of 2021 because of high valuations. Now that those valuations have begun to recede, they are back in the fray, which could stimulate deal flow in the latter portion of the year. “If you go back and look at some of the larger strategic tech acquirers, they were not really in the market the past 18 months,” she said. “Now they are coming back and volume will bounce back.
