Partner Lisa Haddad has been honored by The American Lawyer’s 2022 Northeast Trailblazers. Trailblazers are lawyers based in the northeast region of the United States who “have moved the needle in the legal industry" and been agents of change in their practice area.
Haddad is a partner in and co-chair of the firm’s Public M&A/Corporate Governance practice, where she focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities offerings, securities law compliance for public companies, and general corporate matters. She is also a co-director of Goodwin’s Annual Directors Forum, an educational program designed for directors of public companies.
Northeast Trailblazers highlighted Haddad’s experience leading multi-billion-dollar transactions in the life sciences and technology sectors. Recent examples of her work include: Citrix Systems’ $16.5 billion pending sale to affiliates of Vista Equity Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital; Mimecast’s $5.8 billion sale to funds advised by Permira; Trillium Therapeutics’ $2.2 billion sale to Pfizer; and MyoKardia’s $13.1 billion sale to Bristol Myers Squibb.
Northeast Trailblazers also noted Haddad’s commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion within Goodwin and across the legal industry. She served for many years as co-chair of Women@Goodwin, which works to recruit, retain and advance women across all levels of the firm. She currently serves as co-director of GOOD Directors, a pioneering leadership program focused on accelerating diversity in the boardroom.
Haddad has received numerous honors throughout her career, as she was recently recognized by The Deal’s Top Women in Dealmaking and BTI’s Client Service All-Stars. She has also been routinely recognized for excellence in M&A and Corporate Governance by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 United States and IFLR1000.
