Technology M&A Partner Michele Maney Joins Goodwin in New York

Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Michele Maney joined the firm's Technology M&A practice as a partner, resident in the New York office.

"Goodwin's strategic approach to M&A in the technology industry and the depth of our knowledge of the technology markets differentiates us globally," said Larry Chu, co-chair of Goodwin's Technology M&A practice. "We foresee continued high levels of M&A activity as venture-backed companies continue to seek exits and established companies continue to look for strategic acquisitions. Michele brings extensive experience and a broad skillset to our New York team as we continue to support founders, technology companies, and their investors, including private equity investors, in one of the most active sectors of the global economy. We're excited to have her join the team."

Maney advises strategic and financial buyers on structuring, negotiating, and implementing cross-border and domestic mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, and divestitures. She also has broad experience with both public and private corporate clients on their financing, governance, and general corporate needs.

Goodwin has been named the number one firm (by deal count) for global M&A by Refinitiv in its league tables for 2021 and the first half of 2022. During the latter timeframe, Goodwin advised clients on 553 M&A transactions — nearly 150 more than any other law firm.
