Alida Barletta is the Attorney Development Manager for the Washington office. She helps attorneys think about, plan for, and work towards the careers they want to build. She provides counseling and coaching for attorneys on development, workload management, and interpersonal issues. She also oversees the matter assignment system for Litigation and Business Law attorneys and paralegals in Washington. She works with the Attorney Review Committee to prepare and facilitate the delivery of performance reviews. She advises and supports the firm’s diversity initiatives, including the DC Women’s Initiative and the DC Council on Racial and Ethnic Diversity, and works on firm-wide initiatives designed to enhance attorney development, engagement, and retention.
Prior to joining Goodwin, Ms. Barletta was the manager of recruiting and professional development at Dow Lohnes where she developed and implemented a lateral partner hiring process for the firm and ran the law student and lateral associate hiring programs. She also counseled attorneys on a range of professional development issues; managed the mid-year and annual attorney and paralegal evaluation processes; planned and organized professional development and CLE programs; and oversaw the new attorney onboarding and integration processes.
Ms. Barletta was an associate in the Securities Enforcement and Investigations practice at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP from 2001 to 2010.
