Prior to joining Goodwin, Mr. Beaudoin was an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, where he advised registered investment companies, their independent trustees/directors, investment advisers, and broker-dealers on regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters. Before that, Mr. Beaudoin served as in-house counsel to a dually registered broker-dealer and investment adviser firm. During law school, Mr. Beaudoin was on the Journal of High Technology Law, served as an intern for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in the Division of Business, Tech, and Economic Development, and served as an intern for the Honorable Judith Fabricant in the Business Litigation Session of the Massachusetts Superior Court.
William M. Beaudoin
Will Beaudoin is an associate in the firm’s Technology and Life Sciences group and a member of its Private Investment Funds practice. He joined Goodwin in 2019.
Mr. Beaudoin focuses his practice on the establishment and ongoing management of a variety of private investment vehicles, including venture capital funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, and real estate funds. He represents U.S. and non-U.S. investment management firms in connection with regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters, including GP-led restructurings and tender offers.
Mr. Beaudoin was recognized by Super Lawyers in 2017 and 2018 as a “Rising Star” in Massachusetts.
